"...Shelley and I waited in line for Mark Hildreth(Heero Yuy in Gundam Wing),and while waiting,my sister showed up to see us.Mark arrived and he and I spoke about the Tudors first thing.I asked him if he was killed off in the new Season, and he offered me a Spoiler...Cardinal Reginald Pole lives...and while I was happy for that,Mark couldn't determine if he will come back for Season 4,and of course,I have to re-read my history books to see how important Cardinal Pole will be during King Henry VIII's marriage to Catherine Howard. We then spoke about Gundam Wing and his travels from Los Angles,Vancouver,to Ireland, and back. Before posing for a picture,I told Mark that one man from LA was able to come back to Toronto, while my personal Favourite Voice Actor is in Pasadena...well,Mark said that eventually he'll come. We've said our goodbyes for now,and I went in line for Vic Mignogna(Edward Elric From FullMetal Alchemist)."
Mark's Panel started off with Gundam Wing, and asked us why it was awesome. Jokingly I said it was because of the Mechs and the pretty boy Voice Actors(Referring to him,Kirby Morrow, Brad Swaile,Ted Cole, Brian Drummond, Scott McNeil, and David Kaye, lol)...but in all seriousness ,I told him that it was the politics that made Gundam Wing so intriguing. That the dialouge was the main reason why I would go back to Gundam often. He agreed with me and he continues speaking about Gundam Wing and how he became a Voice Actor and muscian; starting out at a young age and accidentally getting into Gundam Wing, which was his first Anime. Upon then, Mark started talking about the importance of his music and his views on life, forming an ethics on himself rather with society. Along that line,Shelley asked him a Transformers question. Mark said that he loves G1 and if he ever can, he would love to voice either Optimus Prime or BumbleBee...course I reacted on why he would like to play BumbleBee, considering that I always hated that Autobot.Since then,he started talking about He-Man(Being a Fan of it)and tried to convince his friend that he was Prince Adam when he was little(lol). At the end,Mark started talking about the Concert and his performance...but before leaving, Vic showed up and sat with him, conversating about the Concert. At the nick of time, I asked Vic and Mark if they thought of collaberating. They have collaberated in Anime Boston and would love to do that in Toronto sometime.I came up to them and asked if they can pose for a picture together, and happily they did. Mark left us and Vic starts to prepare for his Panel...
Saturday After the Concert ended, my sister, Shelley, and I waited for Mark Hildreth to perform. Mark's Concert was really well done and very lively, as he sang songs from his own album and even done a few songs from The Beatles and Coldplay, which are really cool.
So that was pretty much the end of the awesome Anime North weekend...if I went at Sunday, I could have went to the Charity Auction, annoy Vic and Mark some more, hang out with Martin, Clara, and Paul, and even say some awesome Storm Hawks Cosplayers.""
I have been inspired by my time in Ireland shooting the Showtime series The Tudors to record a live solo version of an amazing Elton John song called Belfast. It really is a beautiful ballad about the struggles in Ireland and specifically the violence in Belfast, and I want to pay tribute to the enormous impact Elton John has had on my learning as s songwriter and performer.
I have to say, Elton John was the first artist to really inspire me to find my own voice as a songwriter. I think I was the only one in highschool listening to him, and I’m sao glad that I did. I have found a sense of emotion and passion in his music, especially the first 5 years of his professional career, that have stayed with me since then.
I’ll post my recording of Belfast soon, as well as some more solo versions of a few other songs also. I recorded a cover of Billy Joel’s Piano Man, In My Life by The Beatles, as well as a few of my songs: Sitting Beside, Ready To Fall acoustic, and a song I wrote about my two deaf grandparents after they died called Angels.
Enjoy!

I KNOW it’s been a long time, but we’ve been creating some really cool stuff that we couldn’t have planned for for the Siddhartha music video, and it’s taking a bit of time to integrate! But I’m very excited about it, and I am planning a premiere show in Vancouver some time near the end of July or in August. It will be around then that I will post it on the site, and at youtube.com.
Looking forward to it!!

It’s good to move in. Moving out sucks, moving in is great! I have so much stuff though! It’s insane how much STUFF we accumulate, move it around, store it, pull it out, and move it again!

quote:"My Kind Of Town (Chicago is…) Friday, May 8, 2009
I landed in Chicago yesterday and have been treated like royalty at Acen, the huge convention I am playing 2 concerts at. They expect 16,000 people through here this weekend, and I’ve had a great time. I even had fun watching the Chicago Blackhawks tie it up with 3 minutes left against my Vancouver Canucks at the United Centre, and then win it in overtime, and it was a GREAT time!! The fans here in Chicago LOVE their Hawks, and I had a great time with the ribbing I received after the game (I was wearing my Canucks jersey the whole time.)
Chicago is a great town, and the people here have been fantastic.
